Une liste complète des conditions et des médicaments susceptibles de prolonger l’intervalle QT, et de provoquer des torsades de pointes (TdP) et le syndrome du QT long (LQTS) est présentée ci-dessous. En ce qui concerne les médicaments, le risque de prolongation du QT et de TdP varie considérablement selon la liste, mais tend à être assez similaire au sein d’une même classe de médicaments. Bien que le risque de TdP soit bien défini pour bon nombre de ces agents, beaucoup sont classés comme prolongateurs du QT uniquement en fonction de leur classe médicamenteuse ou de leurs effets pharmacodynamiques présumés.
